Trump announces $12B in farmer assistance

The Administration will deliver a new aid package for farmers. There had been rumblings that the relief would be announced today. President Donald Trump released a statement on X saying the U.S. “will be taking a small portion of the hundreds of billions of dollars we receive in tariffs” and will put it toward providing farmers with $12 billion in economic assistance.
