Just days after the U.S. and India reached a framework for an interim bilateral trade agreement, more trade news in the South Asia region surfaced as the U.S. and Bangladesh unveiled a new trade deal on Feb. 9.
U.S. agriculture stands to benefit from the agreement through expanded market access for exports of soy and dairy products, beef, poultry, tree nuts and fruit. Specifically, Bangladesh will purchase some $3.5 billion of U.S. agricultural products, including wheat, soy, cotton and corn, the statement noted.
