Elise FennigTitle: President and CEOE-mail: Profile: Elise Fennig is President & CEO of the Pet Food Institute (PFI), the voice of U.S. pet food makers. She leads the organization’s strategic direction, advocacy priorities, member engagement, and operational performance in support of a dynamic and growing industry. Prior to joining PFI, Elise spent a decade in executive leadership at the National Confectioners Association (NCA), serving as Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President of Operations and, most recently, Industry Engagement. During her tenure, she guided organizational strategy and day-to-day operations, oversaw North America’s largest trade show for the confectionery and snack industries – the Sweets & Snacks Expo – supported board governance, and led membership initiatives that strengthened industry alignment and long-term growth. Earlier in her career, Elise held leadership roles across both trade associations and global food companies. At The Kraft Heinz Company, she served as Associate Director of Industry Development, acting as a liaison to major retail customers and trade association partners and helping position the company as a strategic industry participant. Before Kraft Heinz, Elise was Vice President of Industry Affairs at the Grocery Manufacturers Association (now Consumer Brands Association), where she led initiatives spanning supply chain management, sales and promotion, eCommerce strategy, and industry performance. She began her association career at the American Frozen Food Institute, serving in membership, communications, and industry development roles and as executive director of several affiliated organizations. Elise holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs and Spanish from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida. She lives in Falls Church, Virginia, with her husband and daughter. |
