Following the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s finalized Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) volumes for 2026 and 2027, the Pet Food Institute (PFI) is raising the alarm, noting that these volumes could accelerate the diversion of feedstocks, like animal fats, away from the pet food industry and into biomass-based diesel.
